EnReSS - Energy Recovery from Sustainable Sources
Since April 2016, the Department of Processing and Recycling and the Department of Water Management of the Institute of Forestry and Rural Engineering of the Estonian University of Life Science are establishing the international network "Energy Recovery from Sustainable Sources" (EnReSS) to exchange know-how about the recovery of energy and secondary raw materials from sustainable sources and to initiate joint research projects.
The EnReSS Network was founded in April 2016 within an ongoing project for the establishment of joint research structures in Europe. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the objective of the project is to deepen the cooperation between the two founding partners by mutual visits and to win additional partners for the network. As a part of the project, workshops are organized in Germany and Estonia aiming to communicate the expertise of the research institutes as well as potential future research projects.
Currently, a study is drafted: „Energy Recovery from Sustainable Sources in Cold Climate“. The study will address the current situation as well as research and development potential in Estonia and other European countries. As soon as being published, the study will be available for download.
The EnReSS network is intended to be continued beyond the timeline of the current project providing a basis for future research projects in collaboration with further partners from academia and industry. If you are interested in joining the EnReSS network, you are welcome to contact us.
